MILL OF BLACKHALL

Mill of Blackhall (a Grade 2 listed building)  was built in the sixteenth century, using the warm red sandstone typical of the area.  Extended in the seventeenth century, it has now been converted into a house which retains features of previous eras, including the waterwheel.  Exposed beams, arched doorways and traditional flagstones, combined with period furniture, oriental rugs, timber floors and views over fields to a small trout stream, create a setting of character for a relaxing holiday close to numerous attractions.  Sleeps 6/8.  From 350 p.w.

The Mill has a large living room with inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove; a big eat-in kitchen; a large double bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet; two twin bedrooms, one with washbasin; a study/bedroom with double sofa bed; a bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and toilet; and a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and basin.  A cot is available.  The large garden includes trees, lawns, shallow ponds and flagged and gravelled areas.  The waterwheel is stationary and is secured by a chain.
TV with Freeview, video, radio, oil central heating, washer, tumble-dryer, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.  Bed-linen (duvets) and towels are provided.  Welcome pack.  No smokers.
